1) Scope & Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Out of Twelve LLC (“Out of Twelve,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards personal information when you visit outoftwelve.com, contact us, or interact with our social and marketing tools (the “Site”).
It covers website interactions only. If we work together under a Statement of Work (SOW), data handling for that project is governed by the SOW (and any Data Processing Addendum, if applicable).
2) The Information We Collect
You provide: contact details (name, email, phone), messages, project details, newsletter sign-ups, payment basics (handled by our payment processor; we don’t store full card numbers).
Collected automatically: IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, and similar usage data (via cookies, pixels, or analytics).
We do not collect: sensitive categories like precise geolocation, government IDs, or biometric data (as defined under Illinois BIPA).
3) How We Use Information
To run, improve, secure, and debug the Site (analytics, performance).
To respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and manage our relationship.
To send marketing emails when you opt in (you can unsubscribe anytime).
To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
4) Cookies, Analytics & Ads
We use cookies and similar tech to measure traffic and enhance the Site. If we ever use “cross-context behavioral advertising” (retargeting), some states—like California—treat that as a “share” of personal information; you’ll see an opt-out.

California and other U.S. privacy laws give residents rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of sales/sharing. We honor verified requests regardless of where you live (within legal limits).

Delete – request deletion (we’ll keep what law requires).
Correct – fix inaccurate info.
Opt-out – of marketing emails at any time; of targeted ads via cookie controls.

8) Children’s Privacy
Our Site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child provided information, contact us for deletion. (See COPPA.)
9) Data Retention
We keep data only as long as needed:
Contact inquiries: up to 24 months after last interaction.
Newsletter records: until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity.
Cookie/analytics data: per the tool’s default or as configured (typically 14–26 months).
We may retain limited records to comply with law or defend our rights.
10) How to Exercise Your Rights
Email hello@outoftwelve.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and tell us what you want (access, delete, correct, opt-out). We may need to verify your identity and, where applicable, your authority to act for someone else.
11) Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
12) International Transfers
If you’re outside the U.S., your data may be processed in the U.S. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (e.g., SCCs).
13) Links & Third Parties
The Site may link to third-party sites or embed third-party tools (calendars, forms, payment, analytics). Their privacy practices are their own—review their policies.
14) Changes to This Policy
We’ll update this page when practices change and revise the “Last updated” date. Significant changes may be communicated more prominently.
